Privacy Policy

Resume Pilot (“we”, “us”) helps you build a resume on your phone. We are a Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you stay in control.

What we collect

• Resume content you create — your name, contact details, work history, education, skills and anything else you type. This is personal data.
• Account data (only if you sign in) — your email and authentication identifier.
• Usage & device data (only if you consent) — anonymised analytics and, for ad-supported features, advertising identifiers.

Where your resume lives

By default, your resume is stored on your device. Cloud sync is optional and off until you turn it on. You can export your data or delete everything — account and resumes — with one tap inside the app.

How we use AI (and who sees your text)

When you use an AI feature (rewrite a bullet, generate a summary, tailor to a job), the relevant text is sent to our secure servers and then to our AI sub-processor, Anthropic, PBC (the Claude API), to generate the result. We never embed AI keys in the app.

• Anthropic processes API inputs and outputs and, per its commercial terms, does not use them to train its models and deletes them within a short retention window (we pursue Zero-Data-Retention where available).
• We redact identifiers from our own server logs.
• AI output is a draft — you review and approve every word. We design our AI to never invent facts, but you are responsible for the final content.

Consent & your rights (DPDP)

We ask for separate, unbundled consent for (a) your account, (b) sending resume text to our AI sub-processor, and (c) analytics/ads. You can withdraw any consent as easily as you gave it. You have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your data, and to nominate a representative. Contact our Grievance Officer at privacy@resumesaathi.app.

Children

If you are under 18, we do not run behavioural advertising or track you for ad targeting. Certain features require verified parental consent.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only as long as you keep an account. Inactive accounts are purged. Delete your account any time from Settings; we remove your resumes and personal data promptly and confirm when done.

Security & breaches

We encrypt data in transit and at rest. In the event of a personal-data breach, we notify affected users and the Data Protection Board as required.

Sub-processors

• Anthropic, PBC — AI text generation (Claude API).
• Cloud hosting and, where enabled, analytics and advertising mediation providers, each disclosed in-app.
